About Jessica

My name is Jessica or Jess or Jessie.  I was born on Sept. 25, 1986 to Steve and Jennifer.  I was the 4th and last baby girl to enter my family.  A couple years later a baby brother finally came along!  Although I was not the baby anymore I was still the baby girl which has it perks.  As long as I can remember I have been my daddy's little girl.  Growing up was so fun!  I love having a large family.  Although things could get pretty loud sometimes in our house it was usually cause we were having so much fun.
Some of my great memories growing up are during Christmas.  We always had the best Christmas and it was never because we got tons of presents cause we rarely did but because it was just a fun time to be together as a family.  One of our traditions at Christmas is for the kids to put on a play for all the adults that were there on Christmas Eve.  This tradition started the Christmas before I was born and continued on and was past down to the nieces and nephews.  It was always so fun to get together and rehearse without mom and dad seeing what we were doing.  Aside from the play we would always make tons of treats. Cookies, Pies, caramels.  We would eat lots of them but we would also take them out and go caroling around town.  Pretty much all the times spent as a family are special but Christmas always was a special time of year.
During my teenage years I always had a blast!  Luckily for me, my sister that still lived at home was my best friend.  Nothing better then getting to share a room and spend almost every waking second with your best friend.  We always had so much fun together.  Every Saturday night you could find us with our group of friends at a church dance somewhere in town.  We always liked to believe we were the life of those dances. ;)   We loved doing all the youth activities we could.  We had the best times at girls camp, youth conference and EFY!!  It never seemed to matter what were doing we were always having fun.
Early in my teen years was also when I learned my love for singing.  I performed my very first song for a Valentine's talent show and it was so exciting to be able to do that.  Another thing I loved to do was life guard.  I was able to be a life guard for the Boy Scouts Day camp in Phoenix for a couple of years.  It was always a ton of fun even if it was 110 degrees outside.
I had the unique opportunity to attend high school at a charter school.  It was a school that focused on college.  It was based right on the Community College campuses and it's goal was to have all it's students to graduate with their Associates Degree.  It was always a lot of hard work and I spent many nights doing hours of homework but I am very proud to say that I did graduate with my Associate in General Studies Degree 5 months before my high school graduation.  I also graduated as Salutatorian of my class but since the Valedictorian did not walk in graduation I got to give the speech at graduation so that was a fun experience.
Brandon and I got married shortly after turning 18 and I have loved every second of it!!!  Being a wife and living with your absolute best friend is amazing.  I still LOVE to sing.  I have a huge PA system that serves as my karaoke machine and it is well used. To see a video of me singing click here Jessica singing  I also enjoy making cakes.  It just started as making a silly cake for Brandon's birthday and grew into a well loved talent.  I still have lots to learn but I am getting there.  I love to spend time with my friends and family and just be goofy together.  So that is me in a nutshell!!!
